I have never said the word FABULOUS so many times in my life as I have in the last three days. Everything about the Flourish Workshop has been absolutely FABULOUS. From the amazing 21C Museum Hotel with its eye candy and interactive art, to the mimosa breaks and gourmet dinners, to the depth and breadth of knowledge shared by our awesome hosting photographers: Angela Anderson, Kitty Maer, Kimberly Reed and lighting expert/cinematographer Gary (Angela's husband). It was really nice to get three different perspectives on a variety of things like albums, workflow, management, lighting, associates, and financials. I have so many dreams and goals that I'm reaching for and it's nice to see people who have made it happen for them, and to hear about their process along the way.
I know you're dying to see something, anything, from me... so here are some "behind the scenes" images from the workshop...
Angela is so sweet and giving, and was so very humble when it came to talking about her success...
Angela and Gary make such a great team (when he isn't off running his own fabulous cinematography business). I'm so grateful for the information that Gary shared about studio lighting - it's something I haven't gotten into yet, but may be exploring more in the future.
Life wouldn't be any fun without a few out-takes!
The fabulous Kimberly Reed, talking about her engagement shooting style and how she works with couples (I learned that we are VERY similar!)
Kitty Maer, queen of costume and fantasy, talking about her approach to boudoir photography...
I think these gracious and giving hosts deserve a nice big round of....
More to come!
