Yesterday Krystal & Adam were married after nearly 7 years of dating ;-). As Krystal's step-sister, I ended up helping out with all of the last minute details. While I did take my camera with me, my primary function was to coordinate decorating the reception hall and making sure everything ran smoothly. We spent the whole night before the wedding finishing placecards, printing programs, wrapping lights in tulle, and packing everything into my car for the next morning. If you're reading this and in the middle of wedding planning... please don't let this happen to you! She was up very late the night before her wedding and she had an early hair appointment the next day. She didn't really get a chance to relax before her wedding, so everything leading up to the ceremony was complete chaos. I think she finally felt a sense of relaxation after the ceremony, which is when I snapped the picture below. By the time she got to the reception, she was just ready to party and she had an amazing evening celebrating with her new hubsand and their combined families. Congratulations Krystal & Adam- many MORE years of happiness to you!!
Friday the 13th

I was recently contacted by a wonderful friend, Jennifer Dery to help out with a wedding in Ann Arbor. Since I was the second shooter, I just focused on creating fun and unique images and trying different special effects. Little did I know I was also in for a whirlwind of weather conditions!
When Becky & Steve decided to plan their wedding for Friday the 13th, they were proving how much they didn't believe in superstition. However, they still may not have escaped Murphy's Law. Not only did it rain, but a tornado siren went off for about 10 minutes during their ceremony! We were lucky enough after the ceremony to get a few minutes of pictures in the Law Quad but on our way back to the Union it began to hail! Talk about a couple who wouldn't let anything stop them from having a great time, they just laughed it all off and partied the night away! Congratulations to Becky & Steve- may life never get in your way of having a great time together!

Tulips!

Tulips are popping up everywhere! I've enjoyed walking through tulip lined sidewalks and seeing the cheerful tulips pop up in beds along street boulevards so much that I decided to do a small collection of tulip prints. If you're interested in ordering a set of tulip prints, please email me!

When we found this home, we knew that the previous owners loved a beautiful yard that required very little maintanence. It has been such a joy watching all of the plants spring from the ground and slowly share their blossoms. We have a very shady yard which stunts the growth of many plants, but it also gives us time to enjoy each one individually. The first bloom to pop up in our backyard is this Bleeding Heart with its unique shape and vibrant color.

Every month or so I change my desktop image to a recent photograph I've taken and I thought it would be fun to share these images in my blog so that you can download them for your desktop as well! Every month I'll try to post a new image that is suitable for displaying at desktop size and resolution. Click on an image to download a copy for your desktop.
